What to Expect in Our First Few Sessions
The first few sessions are about getting to know you — your story, your strengths, and what brings you to therapy. We'll explore what feels most important to you right now, and begin to shape a shared understanding of your goals. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come; we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
I’ll ask some gentle questions to help us build a picture of your current experience, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. These early sessions are also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work, and whether this feels like a good fit for you. I encourage you to ‘trust your gut’ about whether the way we work together feels useful to you. If not, I will gladly help you find a suitable person. I will also think carefully about the difficulty that you are facing and if this lies outside my area of expertise I can help you to find an appropriate service.

As you continue your therapy journey, sessions are tailored to your evolving needs. I typically recommend weekly or fortnightly appointments, but the frequency can be adjusted based on your personal preferences and therapeutic goals. This adaptable approach ensures that you receive the right level of support at every stage of your journey.

Each session is designed to last approximately 50 minutes, providing a structured yet flexible framework for our discussions. This time allows us to delve into your concerns while ensuring a focused and productive dialogue. Whether you're attending in-person or via telehealth, the session structure remains consistent, prioritising your comfort and engagement.
Telehealth Options
I understand the importance of accessibility in therapy, which is why I offer telehealth sessions. This option provides flexibility, allowing you to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own home, without compromising on the quality of care.
